The Spears Family

In 1993, Mark and Charlene Spears made the difficult decision to pack up their young family and move away from their loved ones in pursuit of a better life outside of Marcellus, New York. They gambled on Naples, Florida – a quiet, but growing coastal community with a need for skilled carpenters. In 2003, Mark founded Spears Construction Services, Inc. The operation was modest, so he and Charlene were able to run it from the confines of their garage. It wasn’t until 2008 that they outgrew the space and secured the location that still serves as their office today.

In 2012, Mark and his wife Charlene founded Spears Cabinetry, Inc. to combat the lead-times and limitations of large commercial cabinet shops. Thanks to their investment, we can offer our clients cabinet packages that are truly custom-built for their unique style and space. While we don’t have a paint booth, we have relationships with some of the best finishers in southwest Florida. These talented individuals can match existing finishes or create custom color combinations to fit your design aesthetic. With the recent acquisition of our CNC, we’re able to reduce redundant processes for our gifted fabricators, giving them more time to focus on the tasks that require their unique touch.

Spears Construction Services has changed a lot over the years. The office has expanded not once, but twice, and you might catch a glimpse of our box truck or vans driving around town. We’ve adopted technologies to allow us to work remotely when necessary and meet with clients over video. Mark’s two daughters now work full-time to secure material, track selections, draft construction plans, and design programs for the CNC. If you stop by our office, you may notice the building is currently undergoing a renovation. The owners are repairing damage left from hurricane Irma.
